Stylish Kite Foiling Tricks to Level Up Your Game
Blake from MACkite here. I'm going for a session at the pier where I'm going to do some of my go-to kite foil tricks. Every time you go out, give these a try. They're super fun and I do them every time.
- Reverse self launch
- Shallow start pop-up
- Foot switch
- Toeside tack
- Straight air
- Backroll with grab
- Sit down
- Walk on water
- Seated carves
- Seated transition
- Seated one-foot drag
- Toeside frontroll transition
- Tack to toeside transition
- Tweaked grab
- Toeside pop
- High fives
- Speed runs
- Toeside one-foot drag
- Toeside jump transition
- Land the foil backwards
- Backroll hand drag
- Unhook and ride downwind
- Tweaked jump variation
- Ski stance carving
- Switch jump
- Switch backroll
- Switch frontroll
- Explore
- Frontroll grab for the shrimpers
- Go way out and flow
- Deep breathing
- Dodge the seaweed
- Ride way upwind
- Practice riding toeside switch
- Tic tac toe
- Frontroll double grab
- Turn off the camera and cruise
That was fun. Even if you can't do these tricks yet, you can still see them in action and aspire to that for your next session. If you're ever stuck and you're not sure what to try, give these a go. If you already know a trick one way, give it a try the other way because it's nice to know them both ways and not get stuck going just one direction. So give it a go, have fun, and I'll see you next time.
