Front Roll better
This one is for those of you that know how to do basic front roll but want to take it to the next level. This is going to be a shorter one, but we'll cover a lot of ground.
So first things first: you should know how to do a basic front roll. This can be with a sent jump or with the load and pop method. Once you are airborne, look over your back shoulder and pull your front knee into your chest. As you come around for the roll, pay attention to the axis of your rotation. Are you doin

3 Transitions you need to know
The goal of this video is to inspire you to try some more transitions and mix up your kiteboarding. You can really add a lot of flow and energy to your riding by mixing in very basic tricks into every transition. This week, I'll break down three of my favorite transitions from beginner to intermediate.

Duotone Clickbar vs Trust
Do a pros and cons right away in the description.... to add to the conversation
This video has been done before but its a topic that comes up daily here so I thought it would merit a fresh video for the year. I’ll try to get as detailed as possible with the differences, what you can expect, why you might like either and which I prefer.

SF Joe's Wing Foiling Progression Story and Tips
For about a year I bashed winging, mainly because I agonized over schlepping around big boards again like back in the windsurf days, now being in love with the small boards kiting and kite foiling allow. But I finally caved after hearing so many stories citing “it is so fun” and I bought a wing… The rest, asthey say, is history…Day 1 - I was eager to get going when my F-one Swing wing arrived, but I had to wait 3 or 4 days due to bruised ribsfrom a hydrofoil crash at speed. But once the ribs

Wing Surfing - First Water Session
Wing foiling is a new water sport that is drawing in countless windsurfers, kiters, and foilers looking for something different. There are plenty of videos on social media of people doing incredible maneuvers on wings, but there are very few videos that go over the fundamentals. With this short video series, we hope to explain the integral parts of winging. By the end of this series, we hope our viewers will know what it takes to learn how to wing foil.

Butterslide Kiteloop Transition
Today we are going to go over how to do a toeside butterslide kiteloop transition. This trick is a fun and easy one that doesn’t take much risk. A
butter slide is when you weight the back of your board as you ride through the water. It’s done by hopping off of your heelside edge, spinning to toeside and weighing the nose of your board. This works best in flat water so that you can hold a steady edge. It’s natural to spin this around into toeside and then you are ready to make a car

Kite Boots Vs Straps & my Favorite Boots
We’ve had a lot of requests for a video on my favorite boots and the difference between boots and straps. The truth is kiteboarding is a diverse sport and what works for one person might not be best for another. Boots and straps have their place and are here to stay. It’s funny, in the early days, the first kiteboarders were actually wearing wakeboarding boots and building features. Just check out films like Auotofocus with Andre Philip and Jason Slezac. Or google Lou Wainman from the

3 Tips for Better Kiteboard control
This is part two of the master your kite and board videos. Last week, I covered a new angle on how to control your kite with the edge of your board. I’m going to expand on this now, and help you really get control of your board and riding position.
Kiteboarding is funny because unlike other board sports we have a lot more going on with controlling the kite. The thing is, It seems like a lot of kiteboarders never learn how to ride a board properly and it actually holds b

Fanatic Sky Wing Review
This spring we’ve been fortunate to test a few new wingboards. In addition to my past favorites, the Naish Ultra SUP 110L, 95L, and F-one Rocket Wing 5’4 the Fanatic Skywing 5’4” 95L has also stood out as a next level wing foilboard. Perfect for riders of most levels, it’s nimble, easy for learning (at light to mid weights) without making performance tradeoffs once you are more advanced. This has been my go to board for a few weeks and something tells me, it’s going to be one of

3 Tips for Better Kite Control
Today, we’re going to do one of the most important videos we’ve ever done. 3 tips to master kite control. This is part one of two, I’m going to do a second video on advanced kiteboard skills to expand on this next. We're lucky to live in a time where all kites are really user friendly but it came at a cost. It seems like most new kiteboarders don’t know how to control their kite with their edge.
Riding in a boarding stance is important
In the early days of kiteboarding, riders had t

Moses 72cm Mast review - S.F. Joe
With the popularity of larger and larger wings, Moses came up with version 2 of their masts for those wings, the stiffer 72cm and 82cm. (Don't quote me, I am a bystander reading things online like you, but this is the conclusion that I came to. I don't speak Italian and can't ask Moses directly!).When I started foiling, the "cool" thing seemed to be longer and longer masts, and short masts were for "beginners" (and sissys). So I had a hard time believing Tucker at Mackite for suggesting the 72cm

Darkslide Kiteloop Transition
Today we are going to cover a Darkslide Kiteloop Transition. This is an advanced trick and is similar to the hand drag and the 360 video we did in this playlist. In the sense that you will be sending the kite from one side of the wind window to the other for lift and then looping the kite at the edge of the window followed by a second half loop to transition.

Step One - Small Send & Pop
Come into this trick with a light pop and be subtle with sending the kite.

Moses 873 / 325 Review
The Moses 873 wing isn't considered a kite wing by many (ok, by all), but that still didn't deter me from using if for kiting since I'd already purchased it. I've done lots of different combo tests to try to make this wing work. And, I think I finally got it.I rode this wing strapless on a 2018 dwarf craft micro, positioned all the way forward (rear plate of Moses 91cm or any Moses mast plate 6-1/2" from the tail) on a standard surf fuselage w/the 325 stabiliser. What a trip! (if I ever learn how

Slingshot Slingwing V2 Review
Slingshot was awesome enough to send us the new Slingwing V2. Being on quarantine I had plenty of time to session the beaches near my house. Lucky for me I live in a quiet beach town up north and it's still so cold, our beaches are empty. Like hydrofoiling, foil wings are evolving fast! We’ve had a lot of time on all the different styles and we’re very excited about the new developments on this second generation wing from Slingshot.
