Are you a fan of Starboard's long-running and popular Ace Foil board, but wished it didn't take up quite so much space for storage or travel? The Ace Foil board has been incorporated into the inflatable range for the most compact and travel-convenient SUP downwind foiling experience.

The Ace Air Foil features Starboard's patented top plate design for direct flight responsiveness and ultimate rider sensation when on foil. It's also been upgraded to the carbon plate, which is up to 2.4kg lighter than its aluminium predecessor.

This board is also a fantastic crossover board for wingfoiling, both in the low and the high end. The board's high nose and tail rocker combined with the narrow, yet long outlines result in easy and early takeoffs and forgiving touchdowns.

The Ace Air Foil range features 2 sizes in 100 and 120 liters, which cover diverse rider sizes, skill and condition requirements. They're only available in a carbon top plate version to maximize the lightweight performance of the range.

Which size is right for me?

6'10" x 21" / 100 L

The smallest and fastest design. The goal with the 6'10" is to create the best portable downwind foil board on the market, targeted for riders up to 80kg. The 6'10" boasts an incredibly fast takeoff and excellent handling on ocean bumps. It's narrow enough to experiment with prone downwind foiling while being comfortable enough for an advanced rider to use as an advanced downwind SUP foil board.

7'8" x 22" / 120 L

The most popular size. At 120L, this model will be stable enough to cater for riders up to 90kg while being a stable platform for lighter riders. During testing Starobard's crew were amazed at how easy this board got onto foil. The 22" width feels manageable and reasonably stable while offering incredibly fast take-offs.

Construction

Built with Linear Knitted Dropstitch and Welded Rail Technology.

Starboard's Welded Rail Technology – featured in their entire inflatable paddleboard range – uses a new and advanced heat-welding process where the top and bottom layers of the board are mechanically bonded. That means there is no glue used to join the top and bottom along the rails (where leakage can occur) and these joins are now bonded for life, making these boards extremely durable.

• With only the best core essentials. Built with single-layer Linear dropstitch making it even lighter and stiffer than before. This Linear knitted dropstitch was developed by Starboard with its supplier for Starboard use only.
• The Heat Welded rails create a complete airtight, mechanically bonded seam without the risk of glue weakening over time, making the board stronger and last longer.
• Galvanized 2000D rails increase strength and stiffness.

WELDED RAIL TECHNOLOGY
Every Starboard inflatable board features welded rails. The Welded Rail Technology creates a completely airtight, mechanically bonded seam without the risk of glue weakening over time. This makes Starboard inflatable foil boards stronger and longer lasting.

PATENTED PLATE TECHNOLOGY

• Distance between the feet and the foil is less than 1.5 cm.
• Direct response, more control and better flight sensation.
• No more wobbly sensations in the interaction between the rider and the foil.

ADJUSTABLE FOOTSTRAPS

• Because there is 18cm distance between the inserts, it allows you to have a wider footstrap span for better trim and control while foiling since you can micro-adjust your feet’s position.
• 4 different positions for the footstraps in the front and 5 different positions for the strap in the back are available.

ACE OUTLINE
The teardrop outline is the most efficient outline, offering even volume and a stable shape.

NARROW WIDTH
Designed for speed downwind and early takeoff. The aim of the Ace Foil is to offer a super-fast accelerating board to quickly catch bumps and accelerate quickly onto foil.

PIN TAIL
Tracking and efficiency are two key aspects of the pintail design. The pin tail offers great tracking for catching bumps, while the pin tail also brings the water back together, allowing a more efficient takeoff and touchdown with less board touching the water.

ROCKER
The rocker is fine-tuned for speed, spring, and larger bumps. The rockerline has been optimised for performance in a range of conditions, from flatwater to large ocean swell.

EDGE RELEASE
Starboard’s Rail Edge invention improves planing before taking off. A proprietary 3D elastomer compound Rail Edge runs along the rails of the board, creating a defined edge that allows for a clean water release and improved take-off speed, yet can fold and roll up.

COMES WITH EPP PLUG
For a flush finish at foil mount cavity to improve the water and airflow on the underside of board.

INCLUDED PUMP

• Fixed hose and manometer position when inflating.
• 10% more efficient thanks to the redesigned piston and outside tube for the air outlet. Plus, double and single action pumping modes and wider foldable foot base increases stability when pumping.
• 2 nozzles, you will be able to use it both for your Air Foil board and your FreeWing.
