Who It's For:

The Liteforce is for riders who want to score the most riding time possible with the least amount of complication. When you're able to hit the water in the lightest of winds and hold on for longer, you'll add many more riding hours to your season while also enjoying the impressive handling agility for such a large wing.

Details

Available in two powerful sizes of 6.6m and 7.7m, both are packed with low end grunt to allow for super early planing, while the low drag handling also allows for remarkable levels of comfort at the top end of the wing's range

The Liteforce has been designed by combining different design elements from the Ozone wing range into a strong but lightweight design to deliver easy and very effective performance in light winds. The carefully developed compact planform means that the tips are less likely to catch the water during maneuvers, allowing for maximum freeride fun, however light the conditions.

What You Feel:

  • Very early planing with loads of grunt on tap
  • Huge range with less urgency to change down in size when the wind picks up
  • Efficient pumping with a very direct feel
  • Sporty, lightweight handling
  • Very little drag, which really helps with into-the-wind maneuvers
  • Clean and easy management as apparent wind speeds build

Why You Feel It:

  • Compact design for low end torque and control
  • Pre-loaded leading edge and optimized sail shaping ensures smooth power generation with control
  • The leading edge and strut are made from a performance Dacron that's 20% lighter than conventional Dacron
  • Ergonomically angled, rigid carbon handles with EVA grip
  • Soft bumper on front handle mount to protect your board and head
  • Knuckle-guard on leading edge de-power/surf handle
  • Lightweight anti-flap fibreglass battens reduce canopy flutter on trailing edge
  • The Liteforce is "Born Light" with no unnecessary features. Everything has a purpose, and every stitch is perfectly positioned to build genetic strength, removing the need to add unnecessary reinforcements

Should You Choose The 6.6 or 7.7m Liteforce?

While both Liteforce wings have a large overall area, they are specifically designed with a compact planform to make handling and manoeuvring as easy as possible. Here's some basic guidance to help you choose the right size:

175cm / 5'9" or Taller?

Riders of this height will have no problem handling either the 6.6 or 7.7m. Their choice will be dictated by how important the extra pure low end power of the 7.7m will be; either enabling them to ride in the absolute lightest possible winds, or to give them more of an advantage if they’re a particularly heavy rider.

Between 165cm / 5'5" and 175cm / 5'9"?

We'd recommend the 6.6m. As well as being easier to handle, it will provide more than enough power.

Features:

De-power/Surf Handle
The De-Power/Surf Handle at the front of the Leading Edge offers increased control when flying the wing single-handed and features a soft knuckle padding for extra comfort.

Fast Flow Air Valves
Fast Flow Air Valves on both the Leading Edge and Strut makes inflation, deflation and packing a breeze.

Long Rigid Power Handles
Ergonomically angled front and back carbon fibre handles with EVA grip provide maximum control and comfort with incredible feel and response for more control in all situations. They also ensure you get every ounce of power from each pump of the wing! The front handle mount features a soft bumper to protect your head and board during water starts.

Direct Connect Strut
Ozone's Direct Connect construction method improves load distribution between the leading edge, strut and canopy. The strut is connected directly to the leading edge with internal and external reinforcements. This unique construction method ensures clean profiles are maintained with the optimum canopy tension.

Internal Reinforcements
What's on the inside counts too – internal reinforcements for improved strength and durability, such as a double-layered Dacron + Insignia taped leading edge closing seam with high strength threads.

Overlap Flat Seams
Overlap flat seam construction improves sail control resulting in an overall cleaner canopy.

Reinforced Leading Edge and Strut
The Leading Edge and Struts are reinforced in high stress areas to ensure the kite canopy remains in shape and performs at its best. Allowing for excellent aerodynamic performance with a longer lasting shape, the proven supportive structure of the 125g performance dacron on the leading edge and strut helps the Liteforce manage wind speeds beyond the limits these big wings would otherwise have.

Using a performance dacron material that is rigid and strong has allowed Ozone's designers to pre-load the leading edge so that its shape will have far less deformation under load, giving you the confidence to session during periods that the wind may pick up while knowing you will still be able to hold on with more comfort and control.

Horizontal Panels
Horizontal canopy panels and adjoining seams optimize load distribution through warp and weft of the material, improving feeling and reducing material stretch. The optimised sail shaping and horizontal panels mean that each seam, from strut to tip, creates a stronger line connection in the sail, distributing the load better along the warp of the fabric, reducing canopy stretch over time.

Reinforced Trailing Edge
Trailing Edge reinforcement with an internal lightweight Dyneema line reduces canopy wear and helps to maintain optimum Trailing Edge tension as designed.

Low Profile Aerodynamic Scuff Pads
Leading Edge bumpers are often large and unnecessary cosmetic items. Ozone builds their kites and wings for performance and durability using the best materials & components available. Any areas requiring scuff protection we use a lightweight durable material with superior abrasion resistance, while keeping a low profile in order to reduce drag and maintain performance.

Anti-Flap Rigid Battens
Rigid Battens strategically positioned along the Trailing Edge improve canopy tension and reduce flutter - enhancing performance, feedback to the rider and reducing canopy material wear.

Easy View Windows
Two carefully positioned windows running parallel with the chord of the wing on either side of the strut allow you to get a sense of other water users downwind of you while holding the wing at a normal riding angle. The Liteforce windows are sized to offer some visual assistance without considerably impacting the weight, and therefore performance of the wing. We advise riders of any wings to always remain attentive to your surroundings, especially when going for a change in direction. We always recommend to lift the wing overhead to get a totally clear view of the water downwind before making a maneuver.

Unique Bladder Construction
Ozone's bladders are constructed in-house with advanced custom built welding machines. Double layered sections are applied to any potential wear areas.

Harness Line Connection
A harness line can be attached around the handle mounts or tube for customised rider preference.

Swivel Leash Line
The Swivel Leash Line features a strong Dyneema line with internal bungee core and an ultra light Stainless Steel swivel to keep the leash twist free. It connects to the wing's leading edge via a loop-to-loop connection and can easily be removed if necessary.

Wing Waist Strap
The waist strap is slim and lightweight with a strong buckle closure and size adjustment buckle. It connects to the Leash Line via a loop-to-loop connection. If you become overpowered or lose control let go of the wing and it will de-power on the leash line. Ozone's wings ship standard with a waist strap pre-attached to the leash line.

Wing Technical Bag
- Lightweight with loads of space
- Internal stash pocket
- External pump holder
- Adjustable shoulder straps with double layer padding for carrying a board and foil over the shoulder
- Back panel foam padding provides extra comfort
