Starting out with a goal to make the best Big Air Kite with Aluula materials, Pat Goodman quickly changed course and realized that with the use of Aluula, what Cabrinha learned on the Nitro and Moto X, as well as where the sport has gone, makes the attributes of a 3 strut kite more suitable than ever.

This new Moto X has taken not only Big Air to a new level, but also recreational freeriding. Whether you want a kite to use in a larger wind range, want to jump higher than your friends, or compete on the world big air circuit, the new Design Works Moto X is the next generation kite to get you there.

ALUULA AIRFRAME
A key property of Aluula is its unparalleled stability providing exceptional rigidity to inflatable structures.

ALUULA
Aluula is fully waterproof with exceptional UV resistance and incredible low water absorbption properties.

7 POINT BRIDLE
The unique 7 point bridle attachment design helps give maximum stability in high winds and eliminates deformation of the LE during kiteloops.

SPRINT 3.0
The Sprint 3.0 inflation system increases air flow from leading edge to the strut. The straight and angled valves allow for no kinking of the inflation tube. It's secure fit design also allows for easy maintenance.

NANO RIPSTOP CANOPY
A higher level of performance can only be achieved when the kite's design properties are supported by a stable and reactive kite material. Nano Ripstop does just that.

BULLET PROOF BUMPERS
These new Durable TPU bumpers are strong, lightweight and durable. They crossover protecting the canopy to LE sewing. A new manufacturing process helps with abrasion when the kite is resting on a hard surface.

EXPANDAPACK KITE BAG DW

What Is Design Works?

Cabrinha: We tasked Pat with an initial challenge. To take our Big Air international team to all new levels and thus the Design Works project started. With a blank canvas ahead, Pat had carte blanche to choose what materials and what design to use, and the first Aluula 5 strut kites were created. Through months of testing, Pat wanted to explore a reduced strut option to see if it opened up more doors and opportunities. We weren’t disappointed. An early prototype took Stijn Mul to the sky during King of the Air, and since then development has been at a rapid pace in order to bring this product to the market.
