Which size is right for me?
7'0" x 30" Wingboard
Is the most stable size for heavier riders up to 110kg and those wanting extra stability. The longer length increases the glide and speed to get flying.
6'7" x 28" Wingboard
Is the mid-size, an ideal balance between stability, glide and manoeuvrability for riders up to 95kg.
5'8" x 25" Wingboard
Short length and narrow width at 25" is a performance size for intermediate to advanced riders up to 85kg.
4'6" x 25" Wingboard
Is smallest size and most manoeuvrable model for advanced and lightweight riders up to 75kg.
THE SHAPE
To get started we need stability and since volume works on leverage, the further away the volume is from your feet, the more stability it creates. We placed the volume in the rails, at the square nose and at the little “platform” at the tail of the board. Stability is also created by having the feet as close to the foil as possible. We do not want to foil with “High Heels”, so the thinner a board is, the better it rides.
ROUND NOSE
Makes it incredibly forgiving on touchdowns as the nose bounces and skims off the large surface area, not sticking and slowing you down.
RECESSED DECK
Significantly improves stability as you have a lower centre of gravity. It also brings you closer to the foil for more control when up and riding.
DRAINAGE CHANNELS
At the tail of the board lets the water drain out immediately once foiling.
THE BOXY RAILS
Pack the volume where you need it, increasing the float and stability so you can ride a narrower and shorter board.
HIGH VOLUME TAIL
Boosts the overall float to ride such small boards.
FLAT TAIL ROCKER
And sharp rails forward increase ground speed until take off.
CHANNEL BOTTOM
That get deeper towards the tail helps to pump, rock the board into release, and also helps for stability.
CUTAWAY TAIL
Allows the board to release that much earlier and reduces the rails from catching through turning.
FOOTSTRAP INSERTS
Make it easy to know where to position the feet and always be in the right spot to trim the board.
*Footstraps do not come with the board
*Must use M7 x 32mm screw
FOIL POSITION
Is optimized to provide early lift for fast takeoffs and gives a very balanced trim when up and riding.
CARRY HANDLE
The carry handle is moved to the bottom of the board to avoid interfering when foiling, yet still easy to carry.
Lite Tech Construction
Since Starboard started making boards 25 years ago, they have offered an ambitious board range to remain cutting edge in all things paddle boarding. Striving to always be ahead with brand new products and technologies each year has increased production complexity and cost. They have chosen their most popular shapes and set up a lean, efficient production line to make them a better value the world over.
- A 15kg/m3 precision molded fused cell core replicates the exact shape, offering extra core strength, impressive water repulsion and an extra hard and strong outer foam surface.
- Extra rigidity with introduction of unidirectional stringer bands and solid with added rail / nose reinforcements.
- The Australian pine standing area for extra deck impact resistance in the most critical area.
- All inserts have added high density foam reinforcements, we have had zero insert issues over the last 12 years of SUP manufacturing.
- 3/4 deck pads with crocodile skin texture made with recycled EVA from post industrial waste, adding higher UV resistance.
- IQ handle for easy carrying, made from recycled ABS.

Great step down board
Absolutely loving my 5' 8" Wingboard. I bought it as a smaller board for use in the Puget Sound, and it's a complete blast. Yes, for the first 15 minutes I felt like I had made a mistake by going smaller, but once I got used to it there's no going back. I'm loving the concave deck as my feet are conditioned from skateboarding, so it's self-centering goodness and feels natural. Not the lightest setup, but respectable weight with a ridiculous amount of carvy, pumping fun. It continues to surprise me how well the design works. I'm giving it a 4 star for the three-finger handle on the bottom -- too small! Massive props to MacKite for great honest info, easy buying and fast shipping.

Great Wingsurf board
Fantastic little board. It simply wants to take off by itself - it is not sticking to the water at all. The design is so very different from other boards - they really nailed it! A friend of ours tried it and ordered one for himself as well right away. Excellent choice - the price is right, the performance is great. One caveat is that it does not come with footstrap screws (needs special M7x32mm screws), but Mackiteboarding is as always as helpful as possible to get you hooked up with some screws!

2021 STARBOARD WINGBOARD - LITE TECH
Absolutely spectacular board. I'm 180 pounds and have been using a 99L, 5'4" board for about 10 months. The Starboard 4'6", 69L took a few sessions to figure out how to balance on it while knee starting. Once I figured that out, I quickly realized that this board is so much more fun than the bigger board for carving on waves and for pumping among sections of swell. I've used it 5 times now and really don't want to use my 99L board anymore. The starboard's recessed deck also took a few session to get used to.

Starboard Wingboard
Awesome board! Especially for the price. I'm 5'4" 145 lbs. For my weight it barely floats me when standing still so you do need to know how to get up and start quickly with it, but once you're up and foiling it's great to have such a small agile board under you. Love doing tight turns on it and found the side walls to be very forgiving if you scrap the water on a turn.

Starboard Wingboard 5' 8"
Clever design making for easy take off. The concave deck helps keep your weight in the center of the board making it easy to maneuver. Definitely requires your wing as support when climbing on and standing up on the board.
