2025 Reedin Toasties Review | The Most Comfortable Footstraps Yet?
There are a lot of nice footstraps out there these days. The North Flex and Cabrinha Source are both great choices, along with Jake's longtime favorite, the Duotone Entity Ergo. For 2025, Reedin has released the Toasties, a binding that prioritizes weight, comfort, and adjustability. How does it stack up to Jake's favorites?
What's in the Box?
When you open the box, you'll find your two bindings, of course, and a baggie containing just one piece of hardware. Don't panic- that's the spare. Reedin has cleverly made pockets right on the straps for the hardware, and you'll find the full set in those. It's incredibly convenient for travel and ensures that your hardware won't go missing along the way.
What Are the Features of the Reedin Toasties?
Quad-Zone Strap Adjustment
One of the Reedin's major features for the Toasties is its 4-way adjustability. Now, Jake's not usually a fan of that. He prefers a 2-strap system, finding that four-zone straps are typically bulky and rigid. He was delighted to find that this was not the case at all here. The binding is so thin and flexible.
There are two straps for fine-tuning your fit on each side of the binding. You simply pull up the top cover to reveal them, and then you pull the straps where you want with their secure velcro connection. Toasties come in three sizes, so be sure to check the chart so you order the correct size for your foot. If you try to use too large a binding, then you can run out of strap when adjusting and have a loose fit.
Strap Size | Mens US | Womens US | European | UK |
S | 4-9M | 5-10W | 36-42 | 3-8 |
M/L | 8-14M | 9+ W | 40.5-46 | 7-13 |
XL | 12-16M | - | 45-50 | 11-15 |
Footpads
The footpads are a cushy material similar to memory foam. On these are a series of broken lines that do a great job of compressing to give you a custom fit and a little extra grip. It makes it feel like you're wearing comfy flip-flops. There is also a toe bar that is nice for staying locked in when you jump.
Foot Angle Adjustment
These bindings fit standard 6-inch spacing, which the majority of boards are using now. (If you're not sure whether they'll fit your board, you can measure that, or you can shoot us an email with your board model and year.) The hardware locks into the little teeth at the sides of the footbed, and these are marked so you can quickly find your sweet spot again if you need to remove the bindings. We recommend starting at 0 and then adjusting from there until you find your most comfortable setting.
Are the Reedin Toasties Right for Me?
These bindings do check a lot of boxes. Coming in at only 320 grams, they're truly lightweight. That's nice on the water and helps when trying to stay under the baggage weight limit while traveling. The hardware pockets are also handy if you remove your bindings.
The straps are flexible and don't feel bulky on your feet. It really is comfortable and gives your feet a nice, toasty feeling. It's an efficient footstrap that has everything you need and nothing you don't. Every part has a purpose.
In fact, Jake was impressed enough that the Toasties are going to be his new go-to strap this season, which is a pretty strong endorsement coming from a diehard Entity Ergo fan. Are there other great straps out there? Yes, absolutely, and you probably won't go wrong choosing this one or any of the others.
